Good body position for backstroke requires that your head stays still while swimming. Keep your ears in the water and look up at the ceiling as if you were lying on your bed. Your shoulders and hips will rotate from side to side as you take arm strokes but your head should always stay in align with your spine keeping your body at the top of the water.
