Bust Hunger with Olive Oil
Olive Oil or butter? Your waistline prefers the former: European researchers who compared lard, butter, rapeseed oil and olive oil found that olive oil is the best for preventing overeating. People given olive oil showed higher levels of the satiety hormone serotonin in their blood than those who ate other fats. The study also indicates that the oil’s aroma compunds are responsible for the effect – so be sure to take a whiff or two before you dig in.
