A high intensity interval training class designed to increase strength and endurance incorporating plyometrics and a variety of weights. Select heavy weights for less repetitions alternating with 1-3 minute cardio drills.
Dance Party Circuit:
40 minutes of cardio intervals set to fun party music followed by 20 minutes of a barre inspired toning/core workout. Open to all shapes, sizes and fitness levels with a fun and open theme.
The Tabata workout lasts only four minutes. The structure of the program is:
• Workout hard for 20 seconds
• Rest for 10 seconds
• Complete eight rounds
You push yourself as hard as you can for 20 seconds and rest for 10 seconds until you complete eight sets. You can do squats, pushups, rows, etc… Any exercise that works your large muscle groups is strongly recommended.
Hatha Yoga postures are taught so that each pose links to a previous pose, creating a continuous “flow” of movement. Breathing and meditation techniques in addition to longer holds in a pose may also be taught depending on the particular class focus. Yoga is excellent for students who find that movement helps create a state of physical exertion in mental concentration leading to deep relaxation and steadiness after class.
